No More Passwords or ATM Cards -- Just Bring Your Eyeball or Thumb!

March 2002 (Newstream / Znews.com) -- City-Money Inc. has developed a new Internet retrieval system called the "eyeTeller(TM)." It is based on City-Money's software/hardware browser based banking solution, and is designed to deliver not only cash, but offers bill pay, maps, money and wire transfers, e-mail, movie and concert ticket purchase, and other Internet based transactions. Delivery date of eyeTeller is set for May 2002.

The new ATM will allow customers to do banking transactions and to retrieve cash without the use of credit or debit money cards. "You simply need your thumb signature or your eye!" according to City-Money's press release.

Here's how it works: A potential customer fills out an application for a line of credit much in the same way he or she would apply for a credit card. Then, instead of using a credit card at a store, or to get cash at an ATM, the customer would use his or her thumbprint at a designated "eyeTeller" machine. The machine recognizes you through your thumbprint or your retina and gives your credit balance and how much you can spend or the amount of cash you can withdraw.
