Currie GT Tsunami Scooter

The Tsunami was made especially for longer-range riding and boasts a 15-mile range on a single charge, and requires 5-6 hours for a full recharge with a 5 amp charger (longer charge time if using a standard 2 amp charger). This scooter has a front shock (no rear shock) and a longer deck than the swingarm GT Shockwave (Schwinn F-18), but also weighs in at a hefty 78 lbs, so if you have to carry your scooter up the stairs, you may want to opt for one of the lighter models.

The GT Tsunami has good hill-climbing power, and good off-the-line acceleration, though its extra weight makes it a bit less peppy than the Shockwave. Top speed averages around 16 mph, and the distance range is 15 miles (depending on rider weight, road conditions, etc.).

The GT Tsunami has a slightly longer deck for standing than the Shockwave does, and there's also an optional seat kit, available for about $50 (use kit# AS-520: GT Tsunami, Schwinn X-Cell and Mongoose Pro Fusion), and the manufacturer provides a 6-month warranty.
