This policy describes how ZNEWS.com handles information when you read the site or send us a message.
Information you provide
The contact form asks for your name, email address, message topic and message. A newsletter request asks for your email address and your permission to receive ZNEWS email. We use this information to answer you, investigate a correction or process the newsletter request you made.
Contact messages are delivered by email. They are not posted publicly. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details or other sensitive information.
Technical information
Our hosting and email providers may process information needed to deliver and secure their services, including an internet protocol (IP) address, browser information, the requested page and the time of a request. The contact handler also uses an IP-derived, hashed identifier temporarily to limit repeated submissions; it does not include your IP address in the message sent to us.
Cookies, analytics and browser signals
This launch version has no advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts. Its search runs in your browser, and search terms are not submitted to a separate search provider. The site does not set tracking cookies or use browser storage for visitor profiles.
We do not use cross-site tracking, so the site does not change its behavior in response to a browser’s Do Not Track signal or Global Privacy Control. Hosting providers may still process technical request information as described above.
Who receives information
We use Bluehost for hosting and the configured email service to receive form messages. Those providers process information necessary to deliver those services. We may also disclose information when required by law or to address fraud, abuse or security problems. We do not sell contact information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Links to other websites take you to services with their own privacy policies. We do not control their collection practices.
Newsletter requests
Requesting the newsletter does not create a site account. We use the request to manage ZNEWS email delivery, not to sign you up for unrelated services. When newsletter email is sent, it will include a way to unsubscribe. You may also ask us to remove your address through the contact form.
Retention and your choices
We keep correspondence only as long as needed to respond, maintain a relevant editorial record or meet legal obligations. Temporary form rate-limit records expire automatically. Hosting logs and email backups follow the relevant provider’s retention arrangements.
You may ask to access, correct or delete information you sent us. Submit a request through the contact form using the email address involved. We may need to verify the request. Legal or security obligations can affect what we are able to delete.
Children
ZNEWS is a general-audience publication. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address it.
